Issuing a badge

Awarding a badge to one recipient, attaching evidence, and what gets emailed.

Open a badge from Dashboard → Badges and use the issue panel. You need a recipient email address; a name is optional but makes the claim page and the email friendlier.

Leave Email each recipient a link to their badge checked to notify them immediately. Uncheck it to issue quietly — the badge still exists and the claim page still works, you just deliver the link yourself.

Evidence

Evidence is proof of the work behind the credential, shown as its own section on the claim page. You can add multiple evidence items to a single award, each with any combination of:

  • A link — a project, portfolio, published paper, or repository.
  • A file — PDF, PNG, or JPEG, up to 4 MB, hosted by us and linked from the credential.
  • A name, description, and narrative — context explaining what the reader is looking at.

File evidence is single-issuance only

You can attach uploaded files when awarding to one person at a time. Bulk CSV issuance supports link and text evidence but not file uploads — see Bulk issuance. This matches how other credentialing platforms handle it.

What the recipient receives

An email from credentials@incredify.net (replies go to hello@incredify.net) with the badge image, your organization's name, and a button to their claim page. Full detail in What recipients get.

Rules that apply to every award

  • No duplicate active awards. The same person can't hold the same badge twice at once. Re-issuing is allowed once the earlier award has been revoked — which is how recertification works.
  • Archived badges can't be issued. Un-archive first.
  • Plan limits apply. Issuing stops at your annual cap — see Plans and billing.
  • Suspended accounts can't issue. Existing badges are unaffected.
